Goods In / Out Controller Sheffield (Attercliffe Area) PERMANENT (Days) £30k - £33k + Overtime Our client, a small to medium sized manufacturing business near Sheffield, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Goods In / Goods Out Controller. Main Purpose On behalf of the business, be a point of contact for customers who bring their goods/orders for processing and ensure they are available for collection when appropriate. Duties * Take delivery of customers’ goods and orders in a polite and efficient manner. * Ensure paperwork is efficiently forwarded to Customer Service for documentation to be prepared ready for the work to commence on the product. * Ensure all goods are unpacked and checked/weighed as required, raising any discrepancies with the paperwork as appropriate. * Ensure goods are efficiently stored within ‘Goods In’ whilst awaiting documentation from Customer Service. * Build, develop and maintain good working relationships with customers / delivery drivers as they visit site. * Escalate any issues to Production Manager as appropriate. * Receive processed orders from the Shop Floor once inspection has been passed off. * Ensure all goods are packaged within customers’ packaging and to their requirements. * Ensure all customers orders are efficiently stored and available for customers’ collection or our own delivery. * Working with other colleagues, ensure the implementation of the company’s policies and goals, including in particular Health & Safety and Quality. * Be flexible to support Production Manager in a variety of areas within the factory as workloads demand. * Competent in operating counterbalance FLT * Be flexible to work overtime as the needs of the business require – including Saturday morning. * Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures at all times. * Treat all colleagues in a professional, fair and empathetic manner. * Be flexible to provide colleagues and the business support wherever this may be required. This is a permanent role with the following contracted hours: 07:45 - 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. There is a requirement with this role to work overtime, all of which is paid at time and a half. This may be 6am starts and Saturday mornings. In return you can expect a salary of £30k - £33k plus overtime (time and a half).
